What sizes do the shade ports come in?

There are standard sizes from 1 to 4 vehicles Single frame structures 2.50m – 10.00m Left to right and 5.0m – 6.0m front to back. We can customize to your specific needs. All components are manufactured in-house.

How long does it last?

Typicaly 10 years if installed correctly based on normal weather conditions and if needed maintenance is maintained – i.e Net tension checks.

Are there any guarantees?

Yes, the shade cloth material is guaranteed by manufacturer ( S African ) against rotting and tarnishing.

Fading is calculated on a sliding scale % per year on lifespan of 10 years guaranteed

The stitching – all hem and seam lines are stitched with Duro Tech cotton , the same medium that the shade cloth is made of.

Are there various colours to choose from?

We have a wide range of colors to choose, from earth tone to colour spectrum.

How much UV does the cloth block?

It depends on range and colour choice. Typical UV block is 80 – 96%

How thick is the net?

Not to be confused by block out %, the net thickness is measured in grams referring to density of the weave.

Standard residential variety are 190 – 210 grm per Sqm
It can go up to 300 grm p sqm material which is more costly and predominantly used on high tensile structures i.e Shade Sails, Floating Sails and Architectural designs.

Is it cheaper than a steel carport?

Yes, pending design roughly 50% less costly.

How long does installation take from start to finish?

Typicaly 15 capable working days.

Do I need drawn up Municipal plans for the shade port?

No, as long as it is not attached to the building (loose standing structure). It might vary from Municipality so best is to clarify before planned installation.

What designs are available?

We have a wide variety of standard designs which we can fit to size preference and layout.
We also design and install custom made designs when required.

Can repairs be done to shadecloth / frame?

Yes, once we visually evaluate we can advise accordingly.
